Tips for Minimal Impact
Follow these tips to protect and conserve sensitive ecosystems and minimize impact on wilderness environments:
- Keep to designated trails to minimize damage to delicate plant systems.
- Pack out what you pack in - Bring a garbage bag and pack out everything, even compostable material.
- Leave the wilderness intact. Please take only photographs and memories.
- Bring a cook stove instead of building a fire.
- Pitch a tent on tents pads, where provided.
Note: Alpine and Sub-Alpine ecosystems are particularly sensitive due to short growing seasons. Plants damaged in these regions may take several seasons to recover.
